About the Event

Fourth Global Symposium on Technology-facilitated Gender-based Violence (TFGBV)

Since 2022, the Global Symposium on Technology-facilitated Gender-based Violence (TFGBV) has been the leading global convening hosted by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), bringing together governments, civil society organizations, frontline service providers, researchers, digital rights advocates, technology companies and UN partners to address this fast-growing human rights violation. The fourth Symposium, taking place from 4–5 March 2026, will be co-hosted by UNFPA, Global Affairs Canada and the Association for Progressive Communications.

The Symposium provides a trusted space to take stock, exchange knowledge and drive collective action at a time when it is most needed. The fourth Global Symposium on Technology-facilitated Gender-based Violence moves beyond identifying the extent of the experience to exploring promising practices and practical strategies that strengthen survivor-centred and inclusive response, prevention and accountability to address TFGBV across diverse global contexts.
